N. C. Little Hospice - Our Care

Our care is the kind that our staff would want their loved ones to have.

We are well-staffed with a minimum of two nurses on every shift. Also we have a C.N.A. every morning and evening to assist our nurses with morning and evening cares, plus one or two volunteers on duty from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day. The House Manager/Cook is here all day in addition to Administrative Staff, including Nurse Manager, Administrative Assistant and Director. We all work together as a team.

The nurses are very skilled in delivering gentle, loving care to both the patients and their families. They understand medications and can determine quickly what works best. They inform and teach the patient and family in all areas as they provide the care.

Our Interdisciplinary Team strives to meet all physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the patient. The staff positions are seen as a mission and a privilege, not as just a job. The nurses are hired for their heart, not just for their skills.

We provide monthly continuing education so that we are all constantly learning and growing.
