Volunteer at N. C. Little Hospice

We would love to have you join the Little Hospice volunteer team. Our volunteers are an important part of the Little Hospice family.

Every volunteer joins our Little Hospice staff to become a part of the nurturing team that embraces the hospice patient and family members. Our understanding and professional team allows our patients and families to feel safe and comfortable as they move through one of life's most profound and difficult times.

Little Hospice relies on many community members to make up our volunteer team. We extend to our volunteers an individualized, in-depth training program to competently prepare them for their tasks. Our volunteers learn to respond with flexibility, compassion, and confidence to the ever-changing needs of the household and its occupants.

On any given day, volunteers may bake muffins, make homemade soup, visit with patients or family members, as well as perform the daily tasks of any home, such as, dusting, vacuuming or doing the laundry.
